Happy New Year from Brevard Value Motors!
The beginning of a new year always brings with it the inherent desire to start fresh in our daily life. With tax season right around the corner, many are looking into what new vehicles are being released in 2019 as a potential investment. And if what’s being introduced to the public is any indication for the rest of the year, we’re in for a real treat.
No matter what you’re in the market for; sedan, SUV, truck, off-roading or around town, there some impressive contenders!
DON’T SETTLE FOR TRADE-IN VALUE.
2019 Nissan Altima
This year’s new model is the whole package. To start, one of the most notable differences will be the change in interior color. The previous plain beige is being changed to a more upscale light grey. But even beyond the surface, the Altima is sure to deliver. Its sportier build makes it lighter than previous years and will be the first sedan to offer all-wheel drive!
A noteworthy feature is its variable-compression. Having the torque and horsepower lowered doesn’t seem to make sense, except that now you can get the best use of both as needed while remaining fuel-efficient.
Safety is also top priority as evidenced by the array of safety features, including: cross-traffic alert, blind spot;warning, pedestrian detection, rear auto braking, lane-departure warning and Nissan’s new ProPILOT Assist. This brand new features combines the use of cameras and adaptive cruise control to ensure you stay centered and maintain a safe distance from surrounding cars.

2019 Honda Passport
Don’t let its familiar foundation fool you. While the Honda Pilot may be the big brother, the Passport comes in and holds its own with a more sportier edge. It features just two rows instead of 3 and is in fact 6 inches shorter. You would think this would make it smaller and more cramped, but it honestly it does the complete opposite. The head and foot space is luxurious while the cargo space is opened up (including underfloor storage with plastic bins).
The engine is nothing new. It is the same V6 you find in the Pilot. However, due to the smaller overall size, you will be surprised at how much quicker it runs! The new Passport also offers a power tailgate, heating steering and built in WiFi.
An official safety rating is not yet available, but it is expected to meet,if not surpass, its brother model the Pilot which has a 5 star rating.

2019 Ram 1500
Over the past few years, Ram has really proved itself to be a contender against the bigger brands like Ford and Chevrolet when it comes to trucks. In fact, their sales have doubled over the last five years with half a million models being sold just in 2017. Ram has worked hard to establish itself as an all-around good truck with a variety of buyers. Their coil spring suspension and upscale interiors are what they are known for and they made sure to not disappoint this year.
The fabrics, textures and finishes that make up the new interior are the best of its class.. Despite the strong engine, the ride is surprisingly quiet with the help of cabin noise cancellation. Seating is a little bit longer and wider, and passengers in the back will find they can now recline while enjoying the fully flat floor space!
While comfort and strength are the most noticeable, safety is still key. The Ram 1500 offers adaptive cruise control, hill-start assist, trailer sway control and blind spot monitoring that also keeps your trailer in mind! The new frame, made of stronger but lighter steel lends itself to increased towing capabilities by 2,000 lbs! And during testing, the brakes remained firm regardless of towing.
A 4×4 off road package is available, which includes: an electronic locker, 1 inch suspension lift and hill descent assist. However, this year Ram also has an off-road-ready model called the Rebel.
